Mental health and resilience strategy  for global digital marketplace 

ORGANISATION

A fast growing global company that operates a leading, global, digital marketplace. Headquartered in London, the company has a diverse, young workforce.

THE​ CHALLENGE

With a rapidly growing company and a significant increase in new employees, both experienced and young, the company leadership needed to ensure that a healthy company culture evolved. The organisation needed to grow a company culture with the ability to understand and take action on the challenges posed by mental health, stress and the responsibilities of new leadership. 

OUR SUPPORT

3Pillars supported the development of a more resilient internal culture and ethos, to support the range of new skills, ideas and increased work pressures. We implemented a company wide resilience ethos, underpinned by the growth of Mental Health Awareness and the development of a mental health strategy. This facilitated the natural incorporation of resilience and grew an informed understanding of Mental Health into the company's corporate culture.

OUTCOME

  • Trained 80 Mental Health First Aiders, enabling them to identify and take action on mental health crises at work. 

  • Trained 32 Mental Health Champions, to grow an informed understanding of mental health in the workplace and to challenge the stigma.

  • Trained 28 employees in ASIST suicide prevention.  

Internal resilience programme fast growing fintech

ORGANISATION

A innovative and fast expanding global financial technology company, with operations across 5 continents and a young, international workforce.

THE​ CHALLENGE

A CEO wanted to ensure that the collaborative, creative and dynamic company culture, remained rooted in its social purpose and founding values, as the company went through rapid growth. A high pressure environment, with a quickly expanding workforce and rapidly developing business, the organisation needed to evolve its company culture to match the large uptake of new employees and expertise, high profile transactions and the promotion of young leaders to positions with added challenge and responsibility.

OUR SUPPORT

We supported the company's Internal Resilience Programme, focused on ensuring the physical and mental wellbeing of their staff and developing informed understanding of personal wellbeing and stress management. The programme achieved positive feedback throughout the company and continues to run as a permanent aspect of company policy. 

OUTCOME

  • Established company wide wellbeing community.

  • Created an in-company team-building and resilience programme in the form of a  'Boxing and Fitness academy'. This delivers 4 weekly team sessions, including 2 weekly strength and conditioning workshops and 2 weekly sessions of boxing coaching.

  • Built in-company knowledge of health and wellbeing, delivering workshops on resilience, nutrition, sleep, smoking cessation and stress strategy.

Trauma resilience strategy for war zone NGO

ORGANISATION

A civili​an volunteer defence organisation, operating inside an active civil war zone, as an impartial humanitarian NGO. They provide medical evacuation, urban search and rescue in response to bombing, evacuation of civilians from danger areas, and essential service delivery. Volunteers primarily come from local the population, supported by a smaller team of international volunteers.

 

THE​ CHALLENGE

3Pillars were approached to lead a programme to improve the resilience of rescue aid workers operating in a civil war.

OUR SUPPORT

Over a 3-month period, we designed a unique package, with two leading MH expert, embedding ourselves with the emergency workers on the ground, to build a detailed picture of their needs and a programme that equips them to face significant challenges.

OUTCOME

  • Delivered psycho social support programme equipping frontline community rescue workers to understand and support workers in the immediate aftermath of trauma

  • Trained and equipped aid-workers with the toolset to support young people in refugee camps to overcome conflict.
